New post 1917 CODE OF CANON LAW
Below are some links to useful Web resources relating to the 1917 Code of Canon Law:

1. Here is found the Code itself, complete with the very important footnotes: ... 0/mode/2up
Regrettably this scan lacks the title page, so it is difficult to make a complete citation from it.
Also, the first five pages of the Index are missing.
Nevertheless, at this price who can complain?

2. Here is found, in a single download, all volumes of A Commentary on the New Code of Canon Law, by Dom Charles Augustine Bachofen, OSB, DD:
The Introduction provides an interesting perspective on the history of Canon Law.

3. Here is found the secret to understanding the arcane footnote references used in the Code. ... #Can.%2087
This was written by Dr Edward Peters, the author of the English translation of the Code, published in 2001 by Ignatius Press. To ease the burden on the student, the article is presented in a light-hearted fashion, but its substance can be taken seriously.
