Actually, the article is taking what's good as good, and pointing out how hopeless this latest Novus policy is without placing the faith and the spirit of sacrifice at the centre of everything. Do you read it differently?

I see it as a sort of push of the idea that the NO is starting to come back to tradition. Maybe I'm wrong.

While I don't see this as "the opposite of liberal", I didn't read the article as any sort of Novus Ordo apologetic. Though John Lane is much more optimistic than I, I agree with his assessment of this particular article. I'm not sure how it can be understood differently.

Maybe I wasn't too clear. What I meant to say is that the SSPX website seems to be pushing the idea to it's readers that the NO is starting to come back to tradition when in fact I believe it's just window dressing.
