Mr. Ahern has passed. Here's the email I received from Fr. Ahern.

Requiescat in pace, William Kevin Ahern 1922-2013
Sunday June 2 - Within the Octave of Corpus Christi:
Dear Friends:
Thank-you again for your prayers. My dear father breathed his last about 8:40 last evening. It was just before sunset on the First Saturday. We had been taking turns praying, watching and singing with him throughout the day, and preparing to cover the night. Around 8:00, we again prayed the invocations for the last agony, then I left to drive home my brother Martin, and the eldest grandson, Kevin. Just as we arrived at Martin's, the call came from the other brother Barry, that Dad had stopped breathing. All those who could, returned to the hospital for final prayers, tears and a loving good night. We are indeed sad, and a little exhausted, but also consoled. I think of applying St. Augustine's words concerning St. Monica: he has died neither miserably nor entirely.
This morning, I hope to "remember him at the altar of God," with Sunday Mass for St. Monica Mission. My plan is to continue with the thirty Masses of the Gregorian Series. Perhaps it will be possible for brother priests to join in some part of the Series, and thus "leverage" the propitiatory value of the respective Masses.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph I give you my heart and my soul.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, may I sleep and rest in peace with.
Eternal rest grant unto Him O Lord

Yours in Christ,
- Fr. Daniel Ahern

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him, may his soul and all the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace.

In the name of the Father
And of the Son
And of the Holy Ghost,

Thanks Brian. He raised a wonderful family, and surely he has gone to eternal bliss.

The description of his passing is strikingly similar to Pat Omlor's. A reward for a life of virtue. May he rest in peace.
