RIP Larry Little
Today is the feast day of our Blessed Mother's Assumption into heaven, a day our Confraternity of Mary Immaculate Queen at Mt St Michael's celebrates with great joy. This year it is celebrated with a bit of sadness as we recalled one of our deceased members of our Confraternity, and until his death, our chairman, who died a few months back. He is remembered fondly today and always.
Lawrence (Larry) Little, 90, formerly of South Sioux City, Neb., was called by his Creator on November 7, 2013, in Spokane, Washington. He was born on August 23, 1923 in South Sioux City. A Rosary was held Sunday, November 10 at 7 p.m. at Mount St. Michaels in Spokane with the funeral mass on Monday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI officiated. Interment was at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Spokane, WA.
Pallbearers were Ken Bawden, Andy Brustkern, Quinn South, Greg Vopalensky, John Netzel, Ken Kosch and Michael Dallen, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Magerl, Bob Tarnowski, Tom Drahman and Vince Melaci.
Devoted to family, St. Michael’s Traditional Catholic Church and his God, Lawrence and his wife Marjorie contributed many years making and instructing in the making of rosaries and scapulars all over the world. He participated for many years in church activities such as leading the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary and had a special devotion to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Larry was in tune with his fellow man and especially his God. Through many years of service he has earned the love and respect of his peers, young and old. His brothers and sisters in Christ are confident that his place in heaven is secure. Larry leaves behind his wife, the former Marjorie Dallen and a son, Galen Little, who resides in Odessa TX. Arrangements were under the direction of English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls.
