Pax et Bonum!

 I am searching for a Saint Andrew Daily Missal, Regular Edition (not pocket edition), 1937, Dom Gaspar Lefebvre, O.S.B. of the Abbey of S. Andre, Bruges (Belgium), Pub.:The E. M. Lohmann Co, St. Paul, MN

Does anyone have one they wish to sell? I did a search on "Jeeves" but can find none in that year's edition. There are later ones, but I need the 1937 to be sure of the contents. I would be happy to even find a second edition of later vintage.

You may contact me direct at

Dear Abba,

What are you afraid might have happened to the contents after 1937?

Dear John, Pax et Bonum.

"Be not afraid." :) I wanted to be sure that they match the current 1937 wonderful copy I already own and use daily. The octave of Pentecost, for example, has a beautiful, brief daily teaching on the seven-fold Gifts of the Holy Ghost just before each day's propers by Rev. M.Meschler, S.J. They are edifying.

Other editions, which are available, might not have the many beautiful extra touches found in this comprehensive edition from 1937 - that's all.

Thank you for asking.

Dear Abba - be not afraid: the Fr Meschler texts and everyhting else you have loved in your 1937 St Andrew's Missal is still there in my 1954 edition.

From memory in the late fifties they started using modernistic illustrations and ceasing adequately to distinguish the essential form of consecration in the Canon.

But up to 1954 you are definitely safe.

Ave Maria sainctissima!
